Devin Rose: The Power of Journaling Your Thoughts in Baseball

Success in sports isn't just about physical ability—it’s about mastering the mental game. That’s why I, Devin Rose, created these mental journals: to help athletes strengthen their mindset, perform at their best, and develop skills that will benefit them long after their playing days are over.

I learned the importance of journaling my thoughts firsthand. During my freshman year of college, I kept track of my mindset throughout games, and it helped me stay focused and improve. But when I hit a slump, I stopped—and I always wished I had kept going. I didn’t realize how vital the mental side of the game was until I was out of college and done with baseball. That experience taught me a valuable lesson: reflecting on your thoughts throughout a game is just as important as physical training.

These journals are designed to give athletes a structured way to reflect on their thoughts, track their progress, and build confidence. By logging their mindset before and after games, identifying patterns in their performance, and learning how to shift their thinking, athletes gain a competitive edge that goes beyond talent or skill.

But this isn’t just about sports. The lessons learned through these journals extend into everyday life. The discipline, resilience, and self-awareness that athletes develop will help them navigate challenges in school, work, and relationships. Sports teach life skills, and understanding your mindset is the key to carrying those lessons forward.

My goal is to equip athletes with the tools to take control of their mental game. Whether you’re stepping up to the plate, standing at the free-throw line, or preparing for a big interview, the ability to manage pressure and stay focused will set you apart.

This is more than just a journal—it’s a game changer. Train your mind, win the game, and prepare for life beyond sports.
